Debra Pack Gilberstadt
Debra Pack Gilberstadt grew up in Southern California, but has made frequent journeys to Tennessee and Virginia. After graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from U.C. Irvine, she worked for the Treasury Department before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Aside from being a happily married mom to two teenagers, her current interests include, genealogy, history, and watching baseball.
Debra got the idea to write her story about William after attending her daughter's fifth grade "author's party". The kids wrote and illustrated their own stories and bound them in a book with exquisitely decorated covers. They were certainly proud of their hard work. But what really inspired her to put fingers to keyboard was the school principal's announcement that she had published two books. Well, if the principal could do it, why not give it a go? That same daughter will be graduating from High School soon after her mother's book debuts. Writing the book was easier than getting it into print.
Debra's son said, "Everyone has at least one book in them." I hope you all enjoy my first novel.
